I first went to see Caroline to try acupuncture for unexplained infertility. I had read some articles on how acupuncture can help with infertility and wanted to try all I could to help me get pregnant naturally and then to support me through an IVF cycle if my fertility journey came to that. Over the years I ended up having 2 ICSI cycles plus 2 frozen embryo transfers. I then had a natural pregnancy whilst on some immunotherapy treatment. Caroline & Rachael were fantastic throughout my journey. There are 3 things that I loved about this clinic:. Caroline & Rachael explained why different acupuncture points were used at different stages of my monthly cycle, through IVF and through pregnancy. I noticed a difference in my periods as soon as I started acupuncture (less blood clots) from the very beginning of my acupuncture treatment so I knew it was working and doing something!. I found the acupuncture treatment very relaxing, which is an added bonus when dealing with the stress of unexplained infertility. And most importantly, Caroline and Rachael gave me fantastic emotional support and helped me ask the right questions of my fertility clinics. They are a wonderful, caring and professional team. After many years of fertility treatment, I am pleased that I now have a little miracle that has joined our family. I will miss my regular sessions with Caroline and Rachael. No doubt I will pop back for the odd relaxation treatment instead!

I have been coming to you for acupuncture for a good many years now and I am happy to say that you have helped me maintain a balance for my health through the acupuncture treatments you have provided. You have treated my gastro-intestinal problems so that I have been able to reduce my medication and sleep better. Originally the hospital consultant wanted me to have a stomach operation for my reflux problem , but thankfully I refused the operation and found that acupuncture has saved me from having drastic surgery. I now only need a top up once a month or so and also have found your dietary advice invaluable ( as long as I follow it!!).

Two separate friends recommended Caroline and her team at Calverley and Rawdon Acupuncture Clinic to me as an additional avenue to explore as part of my fertility journey. I contacted the clinic and quickly booked in for an online fertility consultation. At the end of the hour and a half talking through my complex issues with Caroline online, I burst into tears – tears of relief! For the first time in 3 years, this was the first time a professional had discussed all of the possible causes of recurrent miscarriage in depth with me. We discussed diet, lifestyle and familial medical history in far more depth than the clinicians at the hospital have ever asked about. I was given a bank of useful information to support me in trying different techniques to support our chances of a successful pregnancy. I now have weekly acupuncture sessions which I feel are having a positive impact on my health and wellbeing. The acupuncture and care I received throughout my pregnancy helped with worry, sickness and really helped to relieve severe hip pain in my last trimester. I was waking every hour at one point in agony and after one treatment in my hip I was able to sleep through the night. I love every aspect of the acupuncture including the way Caroline goes above and beyond just the treatment with her expert advice and reassurance. Thank you so much!

When I met Caroline, she did a detailed assessment of me and my past history. I then started attending weekly sessions. My fertility journey was not straight forward and each week Caroline would listen to my updates and offer advice and guidance. Her knowledge of fertility is brilliant which helped me greatly. She even put me in touch with a fantastic Dr who specialised in the area of fertility I needed investigated. This ended up being a huge turning point in my journey.

Before trying acupuncture I had suffered with severe migraines for a couple of years, often having at least one a week but often up to 3 or 4 in a week every single month, I had been back and forth a the doctors and also been referred to 3 separate neurologists none of which offered any help or successful treatment other than suggestions of long term medication which I was very reluctant to accept. I decided to try acupuncture after reading that this is now a recommended and recognised treatment for migraine. After only a few sessions with Caroline the benefits were incredible, I can easily go a couple of months without an attack, the impact this has had on my life is invaluable and the positive effects the treatment is unquestionable, I cannot recommend this method of treatment or thank Caroline enough.
