She’s finally here after such a long wait. Thank you so much for your fabulously relaxing treatments and all of your support and advice – I’m sure we wouldn’t have her without you….

I was very anxious knowing that my baby was in the breech position at 35 weeks. I wanted to do everything I could to avoid a caesarean. I myself am a midwife so knew what my hospital could offer, which was an ECV after 36 weeks. I knew from research I had come across in my profession that moxibustion had a similar success rate to ECV but carried less risks to myself and my baby. So I googled local places to have the treatment and came across Calverley and Rawdon Acupuncture clinic. Caroline was fantastic on the phone gave me lots of information when booking my appointment. When I arrived the clinic room was wonderfully calm and peaceful so I immediately felt relaxed. Caroline went through a thorough consultation and explained the treatment in detail. The treatment itself was very relaxing and my baby seemed to enjoy it wriggling away like crazy. She gave me an information leaflet on how to continue the treatment myself at home and much to my amazement the baby turned to head down 3 days later. I was over the moon, and am now 39+4 weeks waiting patiently for my baby to arrive naturally. Caroline also informed me of an acupuncture treatment that aims to induce labour, which if I go overdue, I plan to book and have every confidence it will help me meet my baby that little bit sooner.

I had osteoarthritis in my knees and went to see Caroline at Calverley and Rawdon Acupuncture Clinic. I found the acupuncture extremely helpful in easing and controlling the pain until knee replacements 2 years later. I now have spondylolisthesis (lower back pain) and was in a great deal of discomfort but have recently started acupuncture again and have been amazed at the immense relief after only a few sessions.

My husband and I had been trying for a baby for 2 years. I was diagnosed with mild polycystic ovary syndrome and my husband had a low reading for morphology. Whilst on the waiting list for IVF my husband and I both started being treated with acupuncture by Caroline and following her dietary advice and taking Chinese herbs. We wanted to give ourselves the best chance when we started IVF. With all the stress and disappointments of traditional treatments, the acupuncture treatment felt like we were doing something really positive that would make a difference. The month that we were due to start IVF, I fell pregnant naturally. I am sure the acupuncture, herbs and fertility advice made a difference and I would specifically recommend the Calverley and Rawdon Acupuncture Clinic. Caroline is particularly experienced treating couples with fertility issues. My husband is uncomfortable with needles, but with some relaxation techniques Caroline reassured him and after the second week of treatment he was so relaxed he would doze off on the treatment table. We both found the treatment to be a positive experience and thankfully, we had a positive result!

This is my second pregnancy and I have had acupuncture for morning sickness since the beginning since having suffered first time around. The effects have been outstanding, with my symptoms of persistent nausea controlled significantly with weekly treatment.

I first went to see Caroline to try acupuncture for unexplained infertility. I had read some articles on how acupuncture can help with infertility and wanted to try all I could to help me get pregnant naturally and then to support me through an IVF cycle if my fertility journey came to that. Over the years I ended up having 2 ICSI cycles plus 2 frozen embryo transfers. I then had a natural pregnancy whilst on some immunotherapy treatment. Caroline & Rachael were fantastic throughout my journey. There are 3 things that I loved about this clinic:. Caroline & Rachael explained why different acupuncture points were used at different stages of my monthly cycle, through IVF and through pregnancy. I noticed a difference in my periods as soon as I started acupuncture (less blood clots) from the very beginning of my acupuncture treatment so I knew it was working and doing something!. I found the acupuncture treatment very relaxing, which is an added bonus when dealing with the stress of unexplained infertility. And most importantly, Caroline and Rachael gave me fantastic emotional support and helped me ask the right questions of my fertility clinics. They are a wonderful, caring and professional team. After many years of fertility treatment, I am pleased that I now have a little miracle that has joined our family. I will miss my regular sessions with Caroline and Rachael. No doubt I will pop back for the odd relaxation treatment instead!

Being a life- long sufferer of eczema I had always relied on prescribed medicines to treat my skin. Recently I have become worried about the steroid cream I used and the thinning affect it has on skin. That is why I decided to try acupuncture. The results have been fantastic. After trying to get pregnant for several years, two years ago my husband was diagnosed with severe oligospermia – a very low sperm count. We couldn’t believe it! It was a real unexpected shock. Fortunately with my fertility intact, we were accepted onto a course of ICSI treatment with LGI.

Wanting to maximise our chances of success, we spent some time researching on the internet, and we decided to focus on improving our lifestyle with better nutrition and acupuncture. We found Caroline, who really fitted the bill as she is affiliated to Zita West. My husband was treated first with acupuncture, which he found very relaxing and Caroline supported his treatment with Chinese medicine. I was also treated in preparation for and throughout the ICSI cycle. Both of us found Caroline very supportive and understanding throughout this difficult period in our lives. The outcome has been a massive success – my husband’s sperm improved in quality, and we were successful in conceiving one beautiful baby girl on our first attempt. We are thrilled!! I came to see you for moxibustion last Wednesday (to turn my breech baby). My midwife sent me for a presentation scan this morning and baby has turned head down!
I definitely felt increased movements following the treatment but I wasn’t sure if it had turned. I don’t know how it works but thank you very much. My midwife is sure to recommend you to future pregnant ladies with breech babies.

If you’re trying to conceive, I honestly cannot recommend these ladies enough. They supported me through multiple rounds of IVF, not just with fertility related treatment but also with relaxation and helping to calm my anxiety. Our results genuinely improved following their advice. Their knowledge of fertility is second to none, and they have an amazing ability to translate complex medical information into something I could truly understand. They gave fantastic advice on supplements and vitamins for both of us. I saw Kate & Caroline for acupuncture whilst trying to conceive, during my ivf journey and during my pregnancy. I found them both to be incredibly warm, knowledgeable and passionate.
Both Kate and Caroline took a holistic approach, advising on supplements, diet, mental health, & lifestyle choices. They helped me to understand the hormonal changes in my cycle and navigate test results and the ivf process.
Kate supported me the with some acupuncture the day before my due date which got me into labour 12 hours later. I now have a 4 month old baby girl.

Caroline was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The initial fertility consultation was helpful and informative. She helped me to understand my cycle, my fertility and how to navigate this, it was a lot more personalised than any appointment with my GP.
I went for acupuncture for 5 months up until I fell pregnant and continued with sessions during my pregnancy.

I don’t think I would have gained the understanding of my fertility without her and therefore would have continued to struggle to conceive.

I now have a 6 week old healthy baby boy!

I’ve seen Caroline for Acupuncture for a number of different reasons over the last 10 years. I first sought help to calm my skin because of hormonal break outs, then I had regular acupuncture at the end of my two pregnancies to prepare my body for birth and since then I’ve had help with stress relief and inflammation and latterly I’ve tried facial acupuncture. Every session I’ve left feeling relaxed and calm. Caroline is very knowledgeable and tailors the acupuncture to exactly your needs, taking a thorough history of symptoms and the help you’re seeking. I first had sciatica in 2018; it was persistent but in desperation I tried acupuncture and found that it improved rapidly. Forward to 2025 and in April I suddenly started again with sciatica, much more painful than in 2018. I have been back to Caroline and again the treatment has been very successful, the symptoms receding quickly. I have no hesitation in recommending Caroline.

Menieres Disease - treatment
I had recently been diagnosed and was struggling to find a balance of normal life after a week of multiple incidents.I spoke with Kate who gave me confidence and assurance that acupuncture could help.
I approached the treatment with some scepticism, after a bad experience some 10 years earlier with a different clinic (now closed).
The experience I have had being treated by Kate has been a whole different experience. Kate took a detailed history and explained what she was going to do and the effect it should have. The treatment plan has been very effective, helping reset and getting me on an even keel, calmer and more balanced, before starting to improve my energy levels.
I am now on a maintenance schedule.
I am no longer a sceptic, I am a convert. Thankyou Kate.

If anyone is going through the same, acupuncture with Caroline and her team is an essential part of your treatment which will help you with relieving anxiety, pain and also help to support the treatment you are having. Caroline and her team are AMAZING!! I cannot recommend them enough. I have been attending the clinic for 18 months and every session I have had I have left feeling relaxed and listened to.
I found the clinic, after suffering from recurrent miscarriage and when I was feeling a bit lost and confused about it all. When I met Caroline, she did a detailed assessment of me and my past history. I then started attending weekly sessions. My fertility journey was not straight forward and each week Caroline would listen to my updates and offer advice and guidance. Her knowledge of fertility is brilliant which helped me greatly. She even put me in touch with a fantastic Dr who specialised in the area of fertility I needed investigated. This ended up being a huge turning point in my journey.

After a year of attending the clinic, I found out I was pregnant. Caroline helped me navigate through early pregnancy and all the anxiety and emotions that go with it after loss. It helped me attending the clinic and I would leave feeling relaxed. I think these sessions helped me to keep the baby and also helped keep me sane. Caroline celebrated every milestone with me and I know she was genuinely happy for me and my family.

I have also attended some appointments with other members of the Calverley and Rawdon Acupuncture team over the last few months and all of the women were extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and supportive.

I cannot thank the clinic enough and I will always been grateful for the support and guidance they provided me. I would highly recommend them to anyone going through a similar experience.

I can not recommend Caroline and Rachael highly enough. I had already suffered four miscarriages when I first contacted the clinic and was really struggling to imagine how I would ever manage to carry another baby to term. Caroline did a thorough assessment and was confident she could help; I was bowled over by her knowledge and expertise in fertility.

Over the next nine months I visited the clinic regularly for treatments which I am sure were instrumental in me keeping this baby. I had a very anxious pregnancy due to my previous losses, and further complications in this pregnancy, and acupuncture helped me to relax and gain a sense of calm and perspective each week.

As my baby was breech, then oblique, up until 36 weeks, I opted for the moxa treatment in clinic, which was successful. I also had the induction treatment on my due date and, sure enough, I went into labour the next morning, giving birth to a healthy baby boy at home. Success all round!

Both Caroline and Rachael were incredibly kind, compassionate and supportive. They really cared, and it meant so much to feel like I had someone else fighting my corner when I felt let down by the consultants.

I will be forever grateful to them both for helping me to finally complete my family.
