I have been coming to you for acupuncture for a good many years now and I am happy to say that you have helped me maintain a balance for my health through the acupuncture treatments you have provided. You have treated my gastro-intestinal problems so that I have been able to reduce my medication and sleep better. Originally the hospital consultant wanted me to have a stomach operation for my reflux problem , but thankfully I refused the operation and found that acupuncture has saved me from having drastic surgery. I now only need a top up once a month or so and also have found your dietary advice invaluable ( as long as I follow it!!).

I first considered Acupuncture when I read an article suggesting it was helpful in the treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia. I had exhausted treatments in conventional medicine and I was suffering from acute pain in my face. Despite initial trepidation, my first visit to Caroline proved extremely successful in the management of pain. There has been a continued improvement following each subsequent visit. The facilities at this practice are excellent and I would without hesitation suggest Acupuncture to anyone suffering pain.

After unsuccessfully trying for a baby and having several tests I was told by an eminent expert in fertility that my sperm had problems with mobility and function and that my wife and I would need to have IVF and ICSI to conceive a child. I was told that I was probably born this way and it could be genetic, having had no other children we agreed to be put on the waiting list for IVF. Both my wife and I had many acupuncture sessions over the course of several months with Caroline at her clinic in the run up to our IVF treatment. The day of the egg collection I was ushered away my an embryologist and told that since the last time I was tested my sperm had recovered to become much higher quality, as good as ‘normal’ in fact and that we would no longer require ICSI. We subsequently fertilised 12 eggs using normal IVF and managed to have a blastocyst implanted, as a bonus we had two embryos’s frozen. We are currently waiting to find out if my wife is pregnant but I but would like to thank Caroline for my treatment and potentially curing my ‘problem’.

If I’d not been recommended Rawdon Acupuncture by my chiropractor, I wouldn’t be dealing with my perimenopause head on like this, I’d still be thinking it was something that just happened and that I had to live with it. Having completed one unsuccessful round of IVF I decided to supplement a second treatment with acupuncture. I truly believe that the acupuncture benefited me throughout the second round of treatment. I found the procedures easier and had a shorter recovery time. The eggs and embryos were of better quality than in the first round and I am now happily pregnant with twins. Caroline has been a great support throughout and I would recommend her treatment to anyone undergoing fertility treatment.

After trying to get pregnant for several years, two years ago my husband was diagnosed with severe oligospermia – a very low sperm count. We couldn’t believe it! It was a real unexpected shock. Fortunately with my fertility intact, we were accepted onto a course of ICSI treatment with LGI.
Wanting to maximise our chances of success, we spent some time researching on the internet, and we decided to focus on improving our lifestyle with better nutrition and acupuncture. We found Caroline, who really fitted the bill as she is affiliated to Zita West. My husband was treated first with acupuncture, which he found very relaxing and Caroline supported his treatment with Chinese medicine. I was also treated in preparation for and throughout the ICSI cycle. Both of us found Caroline very supportive and understanding throughout this difficult period in our lives. The outcome has been a massive success – my husband’s sperm improved in quality, and we were successful in conceiving one beautiful baby girl on our first attempt. We are thrilled!! I was very anxious knowing that my baby was in the breech position at 35 weeks. I wanted to do everything I could to avoid a caesarean. I myself am a midwife so knew what my hospital could offer, which was an ECV after 36 weeks. I knew from research I had come across in my profession that moxibustion had a similar success rate to ECV but carried less risks to myself and my baby. So I googled local places to have the treatment and came across Calverley and Rawdon Acupuncture clinic. Caroline was fantastic on the phone gave me lots of information when booking my appointment. When I arrived the clinic room was wonderfully calm and peaceful so I immediately felt relaxed. Caroline went through a thorough consultation and explained the treatment in detail. The treatment itself was very relaxing and my baby seemed to enjoy it wriggling away like crazy. She gave me an information leaflet on how to continue the treatment myself at home and much to my amazement the baby turned to head down 3 days later. I was over the moon, and am now 39+4 weeks waiting patiently for my baby to arrive naturally. Caroline also informed me of an acupuncture treatment that aims to induce labour, which if I go overdue, I plan to book and have every confidence it will help me meet my baby that little bit sooner.

I had read about the benefits of acupuncture alongside IVF and made an appointment to see Caroline. I am now 13 weeks pregnant and believe that the acupuncture sessions alongside the IVF helped me to get pregnant. I found acupuncture very relaxing and think it is a very useful complement to IVF treatment

I had osteoarthritis in my knees and went to see Caroline at Calverley and Rawdon Acupuncture Clinic. I found the acupuncture extremely helpful in easing and controlling the pain until knee replacements 2 years later. I now have spondylolisthesis (lower back pain) and was in a great deal of discomfort but have recently started acupuncture again and have been amazed at the immense relief after only a few sessions.
